Canon Point:

The Hearth's Warming Eve celebration was a success! After the laughter from the window incident had died down, Pinkie wandered off to her room where a whole bunch of party favors (and Gummi) waited for her to bring down to the after-play celebration. As she enters the room, Gummi jumped on her, chewing Pinkie's mane nervously.

"What is it, Gummi?"

There was a flash, and next thing she knew she was...in Singularity.

Setting:

In the land of Equestria, where earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns live in harmony under the rule of Princess Celestia, there is the small town of Ponyville. Home of Equestria's most random inhabitant: Pinkamena Diane Pie. Most commonly known as Pinkie Pie.

The ponies of Ponyville work together in peace and harmony to keep their lives together. Like many other places in Equestria, the Pegasi are in charge of the weather, making it rain or shine, show or sleet. The unicorns use their magic for various different purposes, like certain professions like tailoring or just for the sake of helping people and defending the town when needed. The earth ponies till the earth and grow food, as well as bake it. Yummy!

Earth ponies are a hardy group, and the most common pony to find in Ponyville, since it was originally founded by earth ponies. Each year, during the changing of the seasons, the unicorns refrain from using their magic to help clear out the snow and leaves out of respect for the old traditions of the town, and instead get into the dirt with the other ponies for "Winter Wrap-up" and other season changes.

Earth ponies, though they have an innate connection with nature and the earth, are not all farmers. Though they are hardier than other ponies, some prefer other professions like baking, photography, fashion design, and so on. Earth ponies are very versatile , and in their hearts they prefer to stay near the ground as opposed to pegasi or unicorns who build castles on top of large mountains and cliffs.

Pinkie Pie is an earth pony, and has a fondness for baking and an obsession with throwing parties. She has a pet toothless alligator named Gummi but has otherwise not shown any particular affinity for animals. She is, however, the best ice skater in ponyville and is tasked with the job of cutting up the ice for "Winter Round-up."

The unicorns are creatures of magic, and can for the most part levitate objects. The very nature of their magic depends on the talent of the unicorn in question. Some, like Rarity, are good at tailoring. While others like Twilight Sparkle, are good at more complex magics and spends her time studying and practicing magic. Most unicorns only have one special magical talent they can use, so in cases like Twilight, they are very special indeed. Unicorns tend to be neat and tidy and do not really like getting their hooves dirty. It is also implied that before the rule of Princess Celestia and her sister Princess Luna, the unicorns were the ones who made it day and night.

Pegasi are the only species of pony that can walk on clouds. With their wings, they fly through the air gathering clouds and changing the weather according to Ponyville's needs. In rare cases, some pegasi are not so keen with flying. Fluttershy for example prefers to live in her home near the ground with the animals and wildlife. But most pegasi love the air and take to it like a fish to water. Each pegasi must attend flight school. They are a very proud and confidant race, in some cases too confidant. In addition to creating the weather they also create rainbows.

The Wonderbolts are a group of the best pegasi fliers in Equestria. They frequently perform fantastic arial stunts and are seen as celebrities. Most pegasi dream of being invited into their group, and put their skills to the test at the Best Young Flyer competition held every year in Cloudsdale, a pegasi only city in the clouds over Equestria.

Like our world, Equestria celebrate several holidays much similar to our own as well as several yearly celebrations held in high importance. For holidays thus far they celebrate Nightmare Night (like our own Halloween) and Hearth's Warming Eve (like Christmas, with pageants celebrating the founding of Equestria rather than the birth of Jesus). Other celebrations include Winter Round-up (where ponies change the seasons from winter to spring), the Summer Sun Celebration (the longest day in the year), the Running of the Leaves (changing fall to winter), the Iron Pony Competition (where the best pony athlete wins!), the Grand Galloping Gala (only the BEST party for the most FAMOUS of Equestria elite), and the Sisterhooves Social (the second MOST important party for the Equestria elite).

Cutie mark - Cutie marks are markings on the ponies flanks that represent their special talent. These marks manifest when they are young fillies and essentially dictate what they are driven to do for the rest of their lives. It is a coming of age sort of thing for ponies.

There are other creatures that inhabit Equestria. Such as dragons, hydra, cyupacabras, and other mythical and strange beasts. These creatures seem to have no society of their own and are rather solo, though they usually talk and show signs of intelligence. Regular animals are also present, but hooved creatures talk and are intelligent, though some, such as farm animals, are still farm animals and seem perfectly ok with this. Other critters seem intelligent, though they do not talk and tend to act more like the animals of our world.

Personality:

Once upon a time just outside the little town of Ponyville there was a rock farm. On this rock farm lived a family of earth ponies, a mother, a father, and three young fillies. One of the young fillies, was Pinkamina Diane Pie. Life on the farm was gray and dull. There was no talking, no singing, no laughing, no smiling. Until a great rainbow explosion, seen only by Pinkie, made her feel so great, so fantastic, so fabulous, that a smile took up her entire face. She wanted to share her intense joy with others, but since rainbows don't happen every day she began to think about how else she could make people smile. The solution was easy: parties.

Her first party was a random one. No rhyme or reason, she just set it up and called her family in. It took a few seconds, but eventually they remembered how to smile and the sensation of making her family smile for the first time in...ever...and got her her cutie mark.

Pinkie Pie loves to make people smile, and she does that mostly through parties. She will often tell people to cheer up when they are down, but doesn't always do a good job since she will point out what went wrong and then go into a nonsequetor about why they should be happy. But her cheery disposition is usually enough to brighten anyone's day, and she always means well.

Pinkie Pie prides herself in knowing absolutely everyone in Ponyville (and will also strive to do so in Sing). Whenever someone new comes into town she immediately breaks out the welcome wagon and of course, a party. She loves meeting new people because new people means new friends and new friends means more fun!

When Pinkie and her friends acquire the elements of harmony, Pinkie receives the element of laughter. She is famous for making people laugh, both intentionally and unintentionally, but for the most part in a positive way. In Season 2 Episode 1 and 2, Discord, the spirit of disharmony and chaos, convinces Pinkie Pie that her friends are laughing a her and not with her, thus briefly turning her element against the group. Twilight uses her magic to make her remember the truth, and she goes into a laughing fit over the fact that she turned gray and moody, turning a horrible event into a pretty funny one.

Pinkie Pie tends to answer questions with nonsequetors or give overly honest answers as is comedically required. When Twilight once comments that Pinkie is a genius, she replies with, "No, I'm a chicken! BWAKAK!" because at the time she is dressed in a chicken suit. Twilight once comments sarcastically to Pinkie Pie "Oh really? Did your 'Pinkie Sense' tell you that too?" To which Pinkie replies "No, I can just see it!" and happily bounces away. She is rather indifferent to people using sarcasm to be mean and will often give them replies that make them go, "bwa?" or completely ruin the point. She also skips or bounces everywhere. Seeing her walk is a rare circumstance, usually happening only when the other ponies are walking all together.

Pinkie likes to play funny pranks on others, so long as they are harmless to the individual and would give everyone a laugh. She disapproves of mean pranks and will not prank people she knows cannot handle it, like Fluttershy. When Gilda the Griffon, an old friend of Rainbow Dash, pranks Fluttershy cruelly, making her run off crying, Pinkie decides to get even, Pinkie Pie style. She throws her a party, hoping that meeting the ponies in Ponyville would improve her disposition.

Pinkie likes to believe in the good in everyone. When Twilight Sparkle mentions that Pinkie might just be jealous of Gilda the Griffon, she is willing to believe that maybe she is. But what she observes afterwards makes her see how mean Gilda really is. She's not a fool, and she can see when someone is a bad apple just as well as the next person, but instead of being mean back, she resorts to trying to make them more cheery and happy. If it doesn't work, she tends to have a "oh well" attitude, knowing that you can't change everyone.

Pinkie Pie loves sweet things to an unhealthy degree. All she ever eats is sweets in fact, sweets and baked goods. She also seems to be a bit out of control over it. When Mr. and Mrs. Cake are baking treats for Princess Celestia's arrival, Pinkie decrees herself the taste tester to ensure the treats are extra yummy and samples them all, despite Twilight Sparkle's pleas. In Season 2 Episode 1 Pinkie asks the group to consider the fact that the appearance of Discord means chocolate rain...CHOCOLATE RAIN, but she puts aside her desire for her friends. She's yet to be so out of control as to completely ignore her friends when they are in need, but she cannot resist sampling (Unless it is for a PARTY of course!).

Pinkie Pie has several takes on fear. In Season 1 Episode 7 Pinkie sings a song to her friends who are scared about being in the woods at night. She tells them to "giggle at the ghosties" and teaches them that when something scares you, laughter can be the cure. In Season 2 Episode 4 she tells Twilight Sparkle that the reason why her and the kids are screaming and running from Princess Luna is because it's FUN to be scared sometimes, and they don't really mean anything by it. In turn it teaches Princess Luna that it can be fun to be something scary, especially during the "Nightmare Night" holiday, so long as everyone knows it's all in fun. Pinkie likes to take things that are seen as negative and turn them into a positive, especially when negative emotions like fear are involved.

Pinkie Pie takes missions seriously. When she sees Parasprites invading Ponyville, she immediately goes on the offensive, collecting musical instruments to pied piper them away. Though she sounds silly, and no one knows what she is doing (or why the parasprites are a threat...until later), and interpret it as "she's just being Pinkie Pie." But she follows through and finds all the instruments she needs. When there is something to be done, Pinkie does it, in the most fun way she can. During Winter Wrap-up her job is to cut the ice with her skates so they melt faster in small chunks. She has lots of fun with it, and doesn't stop until it is done. She's pretty dependable in that circumstance, but how she gets the job done...as well as how well it is done...can be two different things.

Secrets and surprises are very important to Pinkie. Unless under extreme pressure, she makes sure nobody even knows she knows a secret and encourages her friends to keep secrets too. In Season 1 Episode 20 Pinkie helps Twilight Sparkle keep the secrets her friends have been telling her by creepily being everywhere as soon as Twilight is about to spill the beans. During an episode where Applebloom has to tell the truth in order to get rid of her Cutie Pox, Pinkie confesses to eating a whole bunch of cupcakes she wasn't supposed to in order to stop the pressure. It didn't work since Applebloom was the one who was supposed to tell the truth but...yeah. Pinkie will not tell you a secret entrusted to her, but she can't stand too much interrogation.

Gummi is Pinkie Pie's 1 year old alligator pet. She adores him dearly, and even throws him a birthday party...and an after birthday party. He is often seen in Pinkie's tub, gumming on her mane/tail, hiding in the apple bobbing station at parties, or even in the punch. Gummi is a pretty random pet, just like Pinkie and the two fit together well. His name is Gummi because he has no teeth.

Pinkie's life isn't always charmed and happy. Like other ponies she has her moments of depression, anger, and so on. She just shows them in...different ways. In Season 1 Episode 25 "Party of One" we truly see how Pinkie handles grief and anger. When she is under the belief that all of her friends hate her parties and no longer want to be her friend she...breaks. Her hair goes completely flat, like it used to before she learned how to smile. She talks to herself, glares a lot at everyone, and eventually goes a bit bonkers throwing a party with inanimate objects as her "friends." She even voices these friends and imagines it as they are talking on their own even though she is talking for them. Symptoms reflect heavily of schizophrenia, though it is the only instance where she goes that batty.

Eventually Rainbowdash drags her out of there and makes her attend her own birthday party which was supposed to be a surprise. She learns that her friends still liked her and her parties and her hair immediately poofs back up. She them goes on as if nothing ever happened.

When Pinkie is mad, she grumbles and speaks louder than normal, even screaming at people if they ask an insensitive (or sensitive) question. She doesn't seem to have a medium with her anger, simply immediate rage followed by temporary insanity if it goes on for too long. Like all things, her anger and sorrow she attempts to fix with a good party to lift spirits, unless she is unable to throw one, which is where the temporary insanity come in.

Do not deny parties to Pinkie Pie >.> Strange things happen.

Abilities, Weaknesses, and Power Limitation Suggestions:

Pinkie Senses - Pinkie Pie has the innate ability to sense future events through a complex series of involuntary twitching movements. Mostly it is used to predict falling objects, but it is used to predict when good things are about to happen as well. The severity of the twitching seems to indicate the severity of the event about to happen and can level as far as a small quiver to an all out spasm involving Pinkie's entire body.

The following particular spasms have been documented by Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie:

Tail twitch - stuff's going to start falling
Ears flapping - something/someone's gonna get dirty
Back itchy - means it's her lucky day!
Knee pinchy - something scary is about to happen
Shoulder's achey - there's an alligator in the tub
Itchy nose - swarm of bees are approaching
Whole body twitch - something you would never expect to happen will happen! (includes info about where the event will take place and usually is a doozy)

Combos:
ear flop/knee pinch/eye flutter - sky is about to be graced with a beautiful rainbow
ear flop/eye flutter/knee twitch - look out for opening doors

The sense can refer to herself or others. Either way it's usually going to happen nearby. She cannot sense things like, that person is going to attack or something super bad is about to happen, it's just a general sense only getting as accurate as the whole body twitch, or with her tail twitch as seen in season 2 episode 8 "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" where Pinkie uses her senses to detect accurately where falling debris is going to fall and moves to avoid it.

Episode explaining all these is season 1 episode 15 "Feeling Pinkie Keen"

Pony Space - Pinkie Pie has the estrange ability to store party items, costumes, and musical instruments into a sort of inter-dimensional pocket much like "hammer" or "sword" space. She keeps her "party canon" there always, as she never leaves home without it. I'd say only her party canon stuffed with party goods can be allowed there, but that's it. It always appears out of nowhere.

Cartoon Physics - Pinkie Pie can somehow keep up with people who are clearly running/flying faster than her to the point where she can appear at the location they are heading in before they arrive. She tends to match other's speed when running side by side with them, unless pointed out that she should not be able to. There are also times when she will appear looking down from the ceiling at others. She also tends to appear from places she should clearly not fit in, such as a basket of apples, or a bucket of sponges. These moment, of course, only happen for comedic effect, and when pointed out the impossibility of the action it no longer works. If someone is genuinely trying to get away from her, she can keep up with them, but will eventually lose them.

Best examples of this are found in Season 1 episode 5 "Griffon the Brush-Off" and episode 25 "Party of One."

Pinkie Pie is a pony. Other than her Pinkie senses she's pretty normal for a pony in ponyville...um...well physically. She has a super weakness to sweets and parties, and is drawn to them. If there is a party, Pinkie is there, usually hosting the event. If there are sweets, she will stuff herself to beyond bloated. She is fantastic at ice skating, bakes, and is competent at...pretty much any musical instrument she comes across.

Inventory:

Party Canon
Gummi (Alligator Pet)
Umbrella hat
Groucho glasses
Kazoo

Lots of miscellaneous party items, like balloons, confetti, noise poppers, party hats, invitations, a few table cloths (the cheesy paper kind), and streamers. Most of which are shoved in her party cannon already.

She has...a lot of stuff in the show to add to her comedy, but I figure this would be a good start. There IS going to be a HUGE party when she first arrives after all.

Appearance: She is a pink pony with a darker pink mane, blue eyes, and three light blue/yellow balloons on her flank as her cutie mark.

Age: She's a pony?!?!?!? Errr...Fluttershy said 19 so pinkie can be 18.

Log Sample:

It was morning in Ponyville, and a rather important day. After all, every day where there was a party was an important day, and today was Cheerilee's birthday and Pinkie was task with a VERY special mission: bake cupcakes! The cake itself was being specially prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Cake, a real work of art. They wanted to capture the essence of all Cheerilee had done for Ponyville. She was the town's best teacher, full of energy and joy. So Pinkie had volunteered to create the other delicious treats, giving Mr. and Mrs. Cake time to concentrate and ensuring there was lots of tasty treats for Cheerilee and her guests.

She got out mixing bowls, cupcake sheets, and as she reached for the flour she found...nothing. Frowning she reached again. Still nothing. She peeked down below and gasped, there was NO FLOUR. Quick as a wink she appeared in the kitchen where Mr. and Mrs. Cake were baking.

"Mr. and Mrs. Cake, we have a real problem! There's no flour!" Pinkie sounded panicked. No flour meant no baked goods, no baked goods mean no cake or cupcakes, and none of those meant a rather BORING party. Boring parties meant bad parties, and bad parties meant that Cheerilee would be sad on her special day! Just thinking of it made Pinkie want to cry. No pony, especially one as special and wonderful as Cheerilee should be sad!

Mr. and Mrs. Cake stopped what they were doing and looked at each other worriedly. Pinkie understood their fear. She knew how seriously they took their work, and if there was not enough flour well, there was not enough treats, and that all ended in Cheerilee in tears! Nobody wanted that.

"Dear, you did order enough for the Cheerilee's birthday right?" Mr. Cake's voice was unsure. He kept looking over at Pinkie as he talked.

"Oh my, I thought you were ordering the flour this time around." Mrs. Cake said nervously.

"Oh my..."

They all looked at the corner of the room where one lone bag of flour stood, just enough to make Cheerilee's birthday cake. Mr. and Mrs. Cake, after hearing about the party, had gone a bit overboard with planning her cake. Everyone in Ponyville loved Cheerilee. Past and current students alike had volunteered to set up the town square with party decorations for the event. The Cakes felt it was time to really celebrate all Cheerilee had done for the town, but in their excitement they must have forgotten to order more flour...

Mr. Cake looked over at the masterpiece cake they were gathering ingredients for. "Maybe we should make the cake a bit smaller then..."

Pinkie gasped, "Nonsense! The cake is the most IMPORTANT of important treats at a BIRTHDAY party! We can't let Cheerilee down! I'll just go out and see if anyone else has any flour we can borrow!"

Mrs. Cake looked at their supplies and then back at Pinkie. "Are you sure Pinkie Pie?"

"Sure as sugary sweetcakes! I'll be back before you know it!" Pinkie put on her best smile to reassure the Cakes. She knew they must be as upset about this as her. Besides, SOMEONE had to have extra flour lying around. It shouldn't be too hard, she thought. And with that she bounced out, leaving behind Mr. and Mrs. Cake, who both looked rather worried.

Pinkie thought she'd start close by, since she didn't have a whole lot of time to bake. The party was in the afternoon and the town clock showed that it was approaching 11am. She bounced up the steps to her friend Twilight Sparkle's library home. Sure the likelihood of Twilight ever baking was slim but she was the closest of her best friends. Anything was possible. She knocked: 'Shave and a haircut...'

Twilight Sparkle had been organizing her books for the third time that week. She asked Spike the baby dragon to get the door for her as she carefully place the large section she deemed "light reading" on a shelf. Spike gladly obliged. Anything to shake up the boredom of Twilight's organizing.

"Pinkie! What are you doing here?" Spike was glad to see Pinkie. Whenever there was boredom about, Pinkie was sure to chase it away and make things interesting again.

"Spike! Twilight! I have a very extraordinarily super duper important question to ask you both!" With each word she pushed Spike into the library with her vigor, staring at him directly in the eyes intensely. This was, after all, VERY important, and so she had to put on her important face. Cheerilee's happiness depended on it!

Spike gasped. "Oh wow, sounds important, what is it?"

"Do you, have ANY flour?" Pinkie stared directly into Spikes eyes to show how serious she was. She found that not a lot of people took her seriously, and so to show her seriousness she decided to be extra forward.

Spike fell to the floor into a pile of books as Pinkie stared above him. He sat up, a book open on his head. Pinkie giggled a but at how silly he looked, breaking her serious face only a moment before putting it back on.

Spiked thought for a moment, "I don't know...Twilight, do we have any flour?"

Twilight walked over, a book levitating after her.

"No, we don't. Sorry Pinkie." She said apologetically. Pinkie knew Twilight probably felt bad. She always liked to be helpful, no matter the circumstance, and it was one of the things she appreciated about Twilight the most. Still, no flour meant she had to move on, and she didn't want to leave Twilight upset.

Pinkie washed her serious face off and gave a big smile, "Okie dokie lokey, I'll just head over to Sweet Apple Acres and ask Granny Smith. She's always baking something good!"

And with that she hopped off, confidant that she would find something out on the local farm. After all, what kind of farm didn't have flour? Especially one where apples and bakes apple treats were a specialty! No one baked an apple pie like Granny Smith! Though the farm was a ways away, being outside of Ponyville. She worried a bit about getting back on time but, she was sure the farm would have what she needed.

Out in the countryside, Pinkie Pie arrived at Sweet Apple Acres, bouncing happily into Granny Smith's living room where the old gal herself was sound asleep. Pinkie's feeling of guilt about waking her up lasted very briefly in the face of a party/cupcake/happiness emergency.

Pinkie: "Granny Smith! Oh Granny Smith! Granny Smith! GRANNY SMITH!"

Hopping with every sentence, Pinkie yelled out her name and...not so much a sniffle. Granny Smith was dead asleep. Pinkie frowned, she was in serious trouble if she couldn't wake Granny Smith to ask her for flour. Going back to town to search WOULD make her late for Cheerilee's party... From the doorway a little filly head popped in.

"Hey Pinkie Pie. Are you trying to wake up Granny Smith?" It was Applebloom! Pinkie immediately perked up. Applebloom helped Granny Smith in the kitchen all the time, perfect timing! How come she didn't think to ask her before?

"Yup! Though I'd hate to wake her it's reeeaallly super duper extra double important!" SHe put on her serious face and stared. With each expressive word she stared into Applebloom's eyes and got closer, putting on her important face. Applebloom, used to strange behavior with Pinkie, simply shrugged.

"Sorry Pinkie, Granny wont be awake for another hour. She never wakes up form her nap."

Pinkie looked at the sky, noting that the sun indicated that she was running out of time. A single sweat drop appeared on her forehead and fell to the ground. Time was running out...

Applebloom interrupted her thoughts, "What do you need Pinkie? Maybe I can help."

"OF COURSE! Applebloom you're the best! I need flour right away!" Pinkie bounced into the air, silently scolding herself. This was no time to mope! Applebloom could help!

"Flour? Well I know Granny has some around here somewhere...but I'm not sure where. Why don't we split up and look for it?" Applebloom was one of Cheerilee's students. She looked super excited to help, and Pinkie could understand why. Cheerilee was her favorite teacher. There was no way Applebloom would let her favorite teacher down!

"Okie dokie, where do we start?" Pinkie said excitedly. She loved scavenger hunts, and if Applebloom was sure there was flour, then she should be fine.

"Well, I'll start in the kitchen, but I do know sometimes Granny keeps some in the barn. You can look there."

"Fantastically fantastic! I'll get to it right away!" and with that Pinkie ran off.

Pinkie searched the barn by diving into each and every haystack. It was fun jumping from bale to bale like a swan. She was practically swimming in straw, dancing in straw, playing the kazoo in straw, burring herself in...ehem...but, ah, there was no sign of any flour. She stopped herself, knowing she was going a tad too far with the games. She thought of going to check on Applebloom when outside she heard voices.

It was Applejack's voice, one of Pinkie's best friends, and she said..."--party."

"DID SOMEBODY SAY PARTY?!" Pinkie popped her head out of the barn so fast that Applejack and Rainbowdash fell back in surprise. NO ONE said party within earshot of Pinkie without drawing her full and undivided attention.

Applejack rubbed her rump and got back up. "PINKIE, where in tarnashon did you come from?! And why are you in my barn...and covered in hay?" She looked confused at Pinkie, but Pinkie was used to it. She did a lot of things that confused people for some reason, though she wasn't sure why they got so confused. Either way, there was a party/cupcake/happiness emergency, and there was no time for silliness now!

Pinkie took a deep breath, "Well we ran out of flour in the bakery, not all but just enough to make the fantastically fantastic cake Mr. and Mrs. Cake plan on making but not enough for my cupcakes so I asked Twilight but she didn't have any, so I came here because Granny Smith likes to bake but she was asleep and then Applebloom--mmmmf"

Applejack stuffed an apple in Pinkie's mouth, which she chewed happily. She hadn't eaten all day and apples were very delicious. She couldn't help but savor it, completely ignoring the fact that Applejack had shoved it into her mouth.

"Ok, ok we get it, you need flour. I don't think we have any in the barn anymore though, let's go to the kitchen." Applejack explained. Rainbowdash gave her a strange look.

"You keep flour in the barn?!"

"That's not important right now." Said Applejack.

But when they got to the kitchen, disaster met their eyes. Flour covered every surface of the kitchen, and in the center of it all, Applebloom. Rainbowdash began to laugh hysterically. Pinkie's jaw dropped in horror.

Applejack cried out in horror, "APPLEBLOOM!"

Applebloom looked absolutely sad. Covered in white flour, she gave the three the most pitiful look a filly could muster. "I'm sorry! I was trying to pull it out but it snagged on a nail, so then I grabbed the second bag and it snagged on the nail too and then I went for the emergency bag in the top cabinet and...and it fell."

Applebloom looked mortified. Pinkie's ear twitched ever so slightly. It was horrible, just horrible. So much flour just...GONE TO WASTE. Now there would be no cupcakes, no party, no happy Cheerilee. Gone, gone all of it! And the whole town would be disappointed in her! There would be sadness, too much sadness! And Applebloom was already sad! The sadness was spreading!!!!!

"NOOOOOOOOOO!"

Pinkie screamed into the air and then ran off. Making fantastic time, she asked every pony she ran across, "Do you have flour?" in a frantic voice, and was always met with a sad shake of the head. She popped out of flower beds, apple barrels, umbrellas, but each pony she startled had the same answer, no. No one had any flour, and Pinkie only had one hour until Cheerilee's party. She was going to be late! Or, worse, NEVER!

She stood in the town square, frozen in front of the bakery. She looked left, right, up, down. Her body shook as she began to panic. No cupcakes at a party? RIDICULOUS. IT JUST COULD NOT HAPPEN. NEVER. NOT ON HER WATCH. And just as she was about to crack...

Twilight appeared, a bag of flour magically trailing behind her. Spike followed, carrying a bag himself, and Fluttershy, another one of Pinkie's best friends, flew next to them, two bags hanging by rope across her back.

Pinkie's jaws dropped, "T-Twilight? Spike? Fluttershy?!"

She zoomed in, giving each of them a big hug and being careful to not disturb the flour they were carrying. It was times like these she remembered how wonderfully fabulous having best friends were, friends who understood her, well, most of the time. The day had just gotten 200% better. But there was no time for celebration! They had a celebration to bake for!

"QUICKLY! We don't have much time!" Pinkie ran off, the others trailing behind.

Pinkie could not believe how wonderful the day had turned out. Applejack, Rainbowdash, Applebloom, and even their friend Rarity came in to help with the baking. Twelve batches of cupcakes were baked in every oven that could be spared in Ponyville. Each pony worked hard, fanning the goods after baking to cool them for frosting, and while frosting, every pony found themselves covered in the sugary sweetness, laughing. Especially at Applebloom, who was now covered in flour AND frosting.

Magically, the cupcakes were done just in time, and were absolutely beautiful, even in the shadow of Mr. and Mrs. Cake's masterpiece cake. Cheerilee blushed with embarrassment and happiness, thanking Pinkie for planning this out more times than she could count. Pinkie beamed with pride.

But there was something she had to ask Twilight, "So, HOW did you guys get flour so fast? I mean, I looked everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE."

Twilight smiled and winked at Spike. "Well, Spike noticed how odd it was that you were out of flour on the day of a birthday party. So we got Fluttershy to help us get the air balloon to Canterlot and picked some up."

Pinkie's eyes watered with joy, "Awwww, you guys!"

Pinkie pulled everyone into a large group hug. They may not always understand why she does what she does, but they did understand what was important to her, and it made her care for them even more. She was truly lucky to have such good friends.

After much hugging and tears, Pinkie put on a relatively serious face. "Spike! Take a letter."

Spike saluted and got out a pen and quill.

Pinkie recited: "Dear Princess Celestia,

Today I learned that no matter how panicked you are, no matter how hard you look for something you need, sometimes you just need a good friend to help you out, or several. Even when they may not succeed (she takes a look at Applebloom and winks). Still, friends can always surprise you, even when you don't ask them for help. And that's just fantastically fabulously fantasamously awesome!

Your giggling gelding of glee,

Pinkie Pie."
